This poor boy came into one of our shelter partners through animal control in absolutely devastating condition. He has clearly been suffering for a very long time. He can barely walk, is severely matted, and has evidence of severe infection and neglect in his genital area (there are maggots crawling from his nether region 😭💔). We honestly do not know how he survived this long without help. Staff has sedated him and removed what matted fur they safely could, but Wayne urgently needs far more than the shelter alone can provide. Right now, this is not about breed, age, or background. It is about relieving unimaginable suffering and giving this dog a chance to finally know comfort and care.
He needs:
• Emergency veterinary treatment NOW!!!
• Medical grooming and wound care
• Diagnostics and supportive care
• A foster & rescue commitment immediately
We do not yet know his heartworm status, temperament with other animals, or the full extent of his medical needs because his condition is so severe. Please help us help Wayne.
