Sponsor a Shelter Animal

Your tax-deductible donation saves lives by sponsoring shelter animals for rescues around the country allowing them to pull animals from the shelter at no cost. Sponsored pull fees make Lancaster's shelter animals attractive to rescues and therefore more are able to obtain rescue. Moving animals out of the shelter enables them to be adopted into loving homes, reduces their stress, and reduces shelter overcrowding making space for new animals arriving daily, giving them a safe place to rest while waiting for their chance to find “furever” homes.

$100 Dog Pull Fee covers: Vaccines / Heartworm test / Spay-Neuter / Microchip / Wormer

A sponsorship donation can be made prior to an animal having rescue to help rescues cover the costs of saving him/her and improve their chances at finding rescue!

Donations made to Lancaster SPCA (LSPCA) via this platform are sent to the Lancaster County Animal Shelter to cover county pull fees, heartworm tests, combo tests, heartworm treatment, microchips, vaccines, medications, and spay and neuter surgeries. LSPCA is a registered South Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that works closely with the shelter and allows donors to make tax-deductible contributions. Because the shelter is a county department, it is not set up to accept donations directly. LSPCA disperses the donations to the shelter exactly as intended by the individual donors.
